Author Confession: What Should all Good Books Have?

What should all good books have?

Alpha readers, beta readers, and editors. In addition, all good books should definitely have a viable plot; there’s a difference between a story and a plot, but to be a good book, it should have an interesting and hopefully entertaining plot. We write for our readers, in addition to ourselves, so I think it’s very important to write something entertaining. It is too easy for readers to get distracted in this world between television, social media, and other books, to name a few, there are so many things vying for readers’ attention. The last thing a good book should do is drag on and bore the reader. I’m not saying there should be action on every page, but it should be engaging and inviting to the reader to want to read more.
